Biography
Cinder
——————————-
Jeweler
|
Bathed in the love of her parents, Cinder grew up living a sheltered and spoiled life. As such, she didn't even understand the death that was associated with Plague until she was an adult. The sight of a dying dragon shocked her to her core, and she did not speak for a week. During this time, her body became ice cold. Her parents did everything to help her, and it was only after they bathed her in the liquid fire of the Fire Flight that she revitalized. Now, despite her born affiliation with Plague, she identifies strongly with the Fire Flight that so saved her life. Cinder always refused to aid her parents in their work. Making the weapons that ended the lives of others, even if they were threats to the clan...she couldn't do it. The thought of even helping make a single weapon made her sick. It was true that her parents only retrieved the metals and purified them, before letting Aurora turn the materials into products, but it was still wrong. Her father purified the metals, her mother etched away at designing them into what could be mistaken for ceremonial pieces. That was somewhat acceptable for Cinder to stomach. Cinder found her work in bending metals into more pleasing items. Jewelry. In the time that she was given to recover from her experience with death, she toyed with all sorts of scraps her parents had laying around. She twisted them round and round and easily made appealing pieces out of them. For the most part it was merely a personal interest; her body once glowed, but now it was marred by charred scars from being put into the fire. Even once the wounds healed, the scars remained embedded into her skin. Fortunately, her wings were just the right color to make the markings look odd. Most didn't realize that her body was scarred, if anything it simply looked like someone had taken to tracing deeper lines into her feathers. The metal and gems covered the scars and adorned others. Cinder's whole body is almost always adorned with cloth, metal, and jewels. Anything to subtly cover the reminders of her memories. Much like her mother, she engrosses herself in her work. Everything else can be put off to be dealt with at a later time. |
