Asher

At a young age, Asher was taught how to fight. He stood out among the other hatchlings quite a bit due to his strength and intelligence. His previous clan was obviously impressed with his skills, and Asher hoped he would be elevated to a higher rank once he was old enough. However, the clan had different plans for Asher.

They were not training him to be a defender of the clan. Oh no, they wanted Asher to be a defender of the flight. They wanted to exalt Asher. Not only that, but they wanted to sell him and his potential off to another clan of a different flight to be exalted to a completely different deity. All for some extra treasure. Needless to say, Asher was bitter when he realized his clan's true intentions. Refusing his fate, Asher fled when he was sold off to a plague clan.

After weeks of being a loner without a clan, Asher was caught by one of Spinelside's guards after they found him attempting to sneak off with some food from their food storage. The pearlcatcher was fortunate to come across a forgiving clan though, for they offered to take Asher into their clan under the promise that they never exalt him.

Asher still keeps his loner personality even after being brought into a clan. He interacts with few, and only truly bonds with a very select few. He still has his suspicions about this clan, unsure if they will really keep to their word or if they will try to sell him off to another clan again. Most of his suspicions rise from the fact that Spinelside is run by leaders who worship the Arcanist dutifully, and such religious "fanatics" he likes to call them make him very uncomfortable.
