Balthazar
LEAD SCAVENGERR Hyper | Energetic | Optimistic "I am gonna be the best scavenger ever!" Theme Song
Lore
Balthazar bounced up and down, his filigree banner whipping back and forth. The wildclaw struggled to look past the fence that blocked his view. He stopped, and ran along the side of the fence, finally getting to the other side. A caravan of dragons were struggling to walk towards the small cave that Balthazar called his home. He rushed towards his new friends and announced himself to the tired, annoyed dragons. “I AM BALTHAZAR THE GREAT, FUTURE SCAVENGING MASTER!” A dirt-covered coatl in the front said, “Would you mind guiding us to the nearest shelter?” Balthazar nodded vigorously and proclaimed, “Thank you.” They stared at him as he said, “I will become famous by guiding you poor, lost souls to safety.” Some dragons groaned, other rolled their eyes, but the coatl said “Ok, now please guide us to the nearest shelter.” Balthazar started running towards a cave, seven dragons following him. He finally got into the cave and sat down, panting. The caravan of dragons followed him in, immediately crowding the whole cave. Even though Balthazar had been annoying the coatl, she smiled at him as he sat awkwardly, tapping his claws on the stone ground. “Thank you, Balthazar. Do you like scavenging?” Balthazar whipped his head up, and grinned widely. “Of course I love it! That’s why I am THE FUTURE - ahem, the future scavenging master.” “Would you like to join our scavenging party?” “Of course!” ~~~ The wildclaw dug furiously, hoping for an amazing find. The loot piled up, with chess pieces and belts and wood and bones. His claws hit a purple glassy surface. It was lodged in the sand. His excitement grew and grew as he dug it up. As he pulled it out, he screamed “I FOUND AN ARCANE EGG!” He imagined a parade, with him running down the center holding the egg. He would become a hero! “Balthazar. That’s a purple stone orb. Not an arcane egg.” The wildclaw opened one eye to look up, only to see a purple sphere of stone. He sagged, and tossed the rock onto the pile. Occasionally, someone found a deity statue, or a metal stopwatch, but they had no luck in finding any good loot. Slowly, the dragons became tired and stopped, but Balthazar searched feverishly. He was the only one left. He heard a crack, and followed the sound. Shadows hung in the late afternoon light, dancing across the ground. A glob of color was resting on the ground, and as the wildclaw got closer, he saw a egg. He rushed towards it, checking to see whether it was real. An arcane egg. He hugged it, and ran back to the camp, to become a hero.
