PESTIS.
↠ the necromancer

"Be very careful when burying your secrets among the dead; that is where I find mine."
FCGpVbU.png

The necromancer. A damned figure both feared and respected. Pestis dabbles in the taboo arts of necromancy, mocking the border between life and death for his own gain and amusement. His connection to spirits is exceedingly strong and life force manipulation is among his gifts as well; it brings Pestis great pleasure to drain the life out a creature. To see the last remaining glimmer of hope fade from their eyes before he lays claim to their soul. His greed for souls makes him rather easy to bribe.

The general ideology that the undead are incapable of evolving and therefore a disgrace is a notion Pestis disagrees with entirely, thus he threads carefully in the Wasteland. Hunted and damned for his rather gruesome past he seeks refuge where he can, lying about his true identity with ease. For all his power he knows he cannot take on an army, but he also knows he can outwit them instead.

Information not readily available to the living is easy to take for Pestis, as well as making the dead speak and dance at his leisure. Wherever he settles his chambers are truly a wicked sight to behold; the many carved out niches hold pulsating shards where souls are trapped inside - souls that belong to both dragon and beast - all carefully organised by strength and value. The spaces between the shards are occupied by bones and trinkets he took a liking to. He cares about his collection immensely yet has no issue leaving it behind and starting anew. After all, there are so many souls out there...
