One day, Val decided that he has seen enough of the Tangled Woods, and wanted to venture out into the world in search of more. More for himself, more meaning in his life. He thought perhaps he would simply meet a new clan and settle in there, or maybe he would just take to living on his own, surviving out in the wilderness. He decided to head out towards the Sunbeam Ruins. The lands of Light had always been spoken of as the antithesis of his home lands, and he wanted to know for himself if that was true.


It was this desire to find out the truth that lead Val to the Hewn City. He figured that he might as well start his adventure through the Sunbeam Ruins in one place most similar to his own home. The skeletal landscape of shattered structures seemed a perfect place to find hidden truths and old relics that he might be able to sell.
