Groove

Groove is the most obedient to Urbei. Everyday, he tries to convince Caeli not to infuriate their leader by wandering off again. He is so attached to Caeli, and to Urbei—the closest he has to a mother, since he and Caeli arrived before Urbei's real children hatched—that he tried to refuse to go on a quest to find his charge.
When he spoke to Solum about it, he confessed that he was too scared of leaving Caeli with Urbei. He was afraid that they would fragment the clan. Solum told him that this was his species' tradition, and that he needed to try to find a charge somewhere. So, he snuck out in the middle of the night, leaving Solum to explain to Urbei why he had left. If there's anyone who can make Urbei understand something, it's Solum.
He traveled as far as he could, but he just felt miserable during the entire journey, and after several months of separation, he returned to his clan. Urbei saw him first, and bounded to welcome him home instantaneously. Groove was surprised; he didn't think he deserved such a warm welcome, since he had abandoned them for so long. Urbei told him she was proud of him, both for venturing out in the first place, and for coming back. Then she batted him across the face, accidentally a little too hard, growling that she was furious for him leaving without telling her himself, and that she had been so worried the whole time he was gone.
Urbei is Groove's charge.
