ThornClaw

ThornClaw was born to a clan in the realm of nature. He was to be exalted, due to his oddly colored eyes and natural talent for magic. They thought he could serve as a spy in the realm of Magic. When ThornClaw learned of this, he fled. Though just a hatchling, he ran, not wanting to be forced into such a future.

He wandered the land, practicing magic as he went, and studied the stars as he grew. As a young adult, he became a wandering Mage, aiding others as needed, and gaining wisdom. As he became an adult, he grew very wise and enlightened.

As his journey brought him to the realm of Magic, he was attacked by a beast clan. He managed to escape without hurting them, though he himself was wounded. He found refuge in a cave, and curled up, blending in with the rocks. As night fell he heard a large beast panting, collapse, and struggle to get up. He lifted his head to find a badly wounded Mirror dragon. She panted and snarled as he rose, yet he healed her anyways. Her body still weak, she collapsed once more and slept. ThornClaw curled up against her, watching the cave entrance. When she awoke, she smiled at him, and vowed to protect him.

In this cave they made their home. Soon after, they had a full nest. His new bride, IronWing, said she would hunt and fight, for food and money, and protect their family. ThornClaw in return said he would scavenge and find a way to make money. With that he kissed her head and left to scout the area.

He happened upon a trading post, and swooped down to investigate. He conversed with the shopkeeps and made friends, but before he left he found a small bundle by the trading post sign. He stayed with the murmuring bundle, searching for some worried patent. But no one came. ThornClaw picked up the small thing, and flew back to his wife. There he found her with an equally small bundle, hers wrapped in black, his in white. They unwrapped the fabric to find an Imperial and Spiral hatchling; MalachiteFeather and ShadowFang. ThornClaw meditated on the stars, and saw their future as close mates. He and IronWing agreed then to raise them, as well as any other dragon that needed shelter.

ThornClaw then stayed with the nest, but after their promise Iron wing was bringing home hatchlings. During one of her hunts, she had found the pearlcollector they named Gem, who ThornClaw aided at the cave until she was well. Together they ventured further into the cave, were they found a lush clearing, with plenty of water and sunlight. It was here the clan would make their perms any home.

In one of his outings to the market, ThornClaw found a lost skydancer. The hatchling was calling for help, and ThornClaw agreed. He waited with the little one until sunset, but when the moon rose, he waited for her to fall asleep and then brought her to the clan. Upon his arrival, a young adult skydancer was being shown around, and ThornClaw learned he had brought with him two tundra hatchlings.

He now spends time by himself, and is consulted on matters regarding the clan or other issues.
