Fortuna, beside her violet-colored brother, checked out the brand new clan. The lair was huge compared to the two crystal guardians. Zeref, looking up from his work, asked Mavis who the two little ones were. The rose-colored fae's eyes brightened as she introduced the two as Hopian and Fortuna, brother and sister whom she rescued from the Auction House. She said that most of their siblings had already been exalted. As little as she was, Fortuna had no idea what "exalted" meant. Fidelis seemed to have mixed feelings with that statement as he met the two. And, well; that's what sparked the obsidian one's interest in the concept of sending a dragon to a deity, for honor. "I have chosen you, to fulfill the greatest role that any dragon will ever receive. I have chosen you to be exalted, and serve under the Arcanist for eternity and beyond. By doing this, you are bringing great honor to yourself, this clan, and the Arcane flight as a whole. Take great pride in this role, young one. I can see that your heart and your mind are perfect for this, and you will serve our deity flawlessly. I have no doubt of it. Now, go! Travel deep within the Starfall Isles to the great Observatory that towers above. Go, and remember us forever. And never let go of who you are." Back then, when Mavis brought the two of them to the lair, there were only three members: Mavis, Fidelis, and Zeref. It was a small little lair and nothing really happened there. The hatchlings that then went onto become the clan's singular exalter and the very first, noble guard- they brought the spark and life to the clan for several months. And needless to say, the clan has grown immensely since then. They consider themselves "clan veterans" now... |
