Biography
He was found, not born as far as he knew. Heath did not know much. He knew his current care givers were not really his parents, though they claim to be. He was very small when Merrit had found him, curled up asleep in a patch of Blue Entoloma. He remembered very clearly Merrit's face when she found him. Worried. Happy. Something in between. He remembered very clearly Refrait's disgust. He hadn't taken kindly to the idea of bringing up an inferior child. Over time, His hate lessened. With the coming of his first born, He seemed to have abandoned all hope of having a pearl catcher child, and so fully accepted the responsibility of raising Heath as his own.
Heath had not forgotten his disgust though. He could tell he was trying however. He could tell how badly Refrait felt about himself and his treatment (Or lack there of) Heath. Everyone tried to be his friend. Everyone loved him. He was very content with his life. Even if Refrait had loved him from the beginning, he'd never really feel that he was truly apart of this family. This clan of mis-matched drifters.
He felt something missing. No, He felt everything missing. He didn't know his name aside from the name Merrit had given him. He couldn't remember where he was form. He couldn't remember the names or faces of his parents. He couldn't remember anything before coming here. He spent most of his time alone. Thinking quietly about what his life would be like if he'd never fallen asleep that day.
Heath rarely spoke. When he did it was in short, curt sentences. Most of the time, he spoke with Kaja. He loved her alot. She told him stories of far away places that he could've lived, and snag songs with him she'd heard form the river or the trees. When the sang it was like the very earth strained to listen. Kaja was not around a lot. He was not sure Kaja loved him as much as he loved her.
