Taranis

Taranis came to be in the clan through something of an tumultuous circumstance. Scya has a certain affinity for those dragons in the Lightning Flight, and she idolizes the Stormcatcher. On one of her ventures to the Shifting Expanse, she had stopped to rest after her flight. Not realizing where she was stepping, she stepped dangerously close to Taranis, and the hatchling gave her an indignant peck with her immature nose-horn. Surprised and enamoured, Scya immediately asked her where she was from, and who her parents were. The impulsive little hatchling paid no heed to her words, and instead began playing with her. Charmed, Scya decided to take on the hatchling as her charge after she finally disclosed that she had no idea where her parents were, or who they were.

Oriasis and Sylce were not too happy with the new member. She was a Ridgeback dragon, who clearly belonged in the Shifting Expanse and under the Stormcatcher's watch, and they thought it unethical to remove the hatchling from where she clearly belonged. Scya eventually told her parents that if she was to put her back, she would leave for the Shifting Expanse and never come back.

After many nights of consideration, Sylce and Ori decided that she could stay. They could see the special bond the two of them shared, and pondered on the tiny and erratic hatchling playing with their daughter. She reminded them of Scya herself. And they couldn't very well remove Scya's charge from her; especially Oriasis, who's own charge was the whole clan.

The hatchling matured, and soon became much larger than Scya herself. Scya, being from the Wind Flight, has a natural aptitude for flight, and so is working on teaching Taranis some new skills in order to make her flight pattern the most efficient possible. The two can be seen floating on the breeze, laughing and racing each other.
