Intelligent and Clever - Since her birth she always tried the newest things out and she tried to make new fun things with old stuff she once has used.
Eager to learn - Though books weren’t her favorit thing to waste time with, she learned much through them. She also asked other dragons to teach her everything they know and evenstrangers had to tell her at least one thing, otherwise they would have a dragon who followed and annoyed them until they did as she want.
Tricky - You miss one of your possessions and find it hanging from a tree covered in an unindentifyable sticky mass? That probably was one of Birdies pranks. She loves to play pranks on others and with her mechanic skills she can do almost everything.
Always wants to help - One of the first thing you get to hear after meeting Birdie, after her asking you if you have something to teach her, is if she can help you with something. Her optimism tells her that others will help her too when she helps them with whatever problem they have, and she often improves the lifestyle of others through her machines.
Nimble-fingered - Most of the clan has small machines flying, digging, gathering or doing other things around. Some dragons like Twilightpearl or Birdie herself wear prostheses to either let them fly again or strengthen their abilities or even make their life just more comfortable. All of them were build by Birdie, and everyone can rely on her quality.

Birdie grew up in an arcane clan full of dragons who were gifted with the ability to have visions, and her parents always knew there was something wrong about Birdie. She never had a vision and she made it obvious. Her best friend Veloneo sometimes had visions too, but he only saw Birdie in them. Not only the lack of visions and her acting to hide it defined her, she also was interested in machines and already built some smaller ones for her old clan for hunting or gathering. Most of her machines were build to prank other dragons and they never failed her, although most pranks ended with a lecture by the clan leader.

One day, Veloneo told Birdie about a vision he had about a dark place, full of other dragons living in peace and harmony. He saw a great temple and an injured dragon, he saw worries and fear hidden behind nice words. Birdie and Veloneo soon ran away at night, traveling without knowing were they are going or where they came from, only their intuition lead them. And several weeks of travelling through mountains, seas and forests they found the Tangled Woods. Minutes after entering this maze made of trees and vines a dragon walked up behind them.

"Welcome travellers, shadows told me about your arrival," spoke a dragon white as snow. Her wings were bandaged and a skull with attached feathers decorated her head. A golden ornament with emebed emeralds hang from their long tail, somehow glowing.

"My name is Birdie and this is my friend Veloneo. He had visions about a place in this woods, a place with an injured dragon. I came to help with my newest invention," announced Birdie with her high voice. She spread her wings, showing every gadget she wore. "One of these should help."

The strangers eyes sparkled through the skull. "Then I want to invite you to my clan, your visions showed my priest apprentice Twilightpearl," she started walking into the woods while talking, "She broke her wings in an accident. I will send some of my dragons to search for everything you need."

And so, after a week of building mechanic wings, living in the clan and getting to know everyone, she finished her machine and attached it to Twilightpearl. Tears of joy were rolling over some dragons cheeks when they saw the Twilightpearls fiest flight after the accident, and since then noone wanted Birdie to leave.
