Shadowkiss

Shadowkiss is a peacock amongst dragons. He loves nothing more than attention and spends his free time strutting around attempting to impress anyone and anything that passes him by, especially females. Unknown to him, however, the rest of his clanmates do not find his manner striking or impressive, but endearingly embarrassing. Little does he realise how transparent he is. Most people (with the exception of Jharak, who alone holds Shadowkiss in great regard) know his next move before he himself does and can sense his decisions and actions a mile off, not least because more often than not his options are strut, preen and boast.

With an attitude like this, it would perhaps be expected that Shadowkiss is unpopular in his clan, but this could not be more wrong. There isn't a dragon in the glen who doesn't have a soft spot for Shadowkiss. Shadowkiss himself, of course, thinks that all other members of his clan are in awe of him and no one, not even his brother Leonine, has ever had the heart to tell him that they really see him as more of a loveable fool than a striking hero.

Despite the fact that Shadowkiss's high opinion of himself is mostly based on talents that only exist in his own head, he does have a few real talents that even his clanmates will admit he is good at, scavenging being the most notable. Perhaps because he views himself as being shiny and desirable, he has a very keen eye for other such shiny and desirable things and takes great pleasure in bringing these home to his clan and receiving the subsequent praise.

Although not the brightest of dragons, Shadowkiss is never the less an asset to his clan. Fiercely loyal and loved by all, he will never miss an opportunity to boast about the real and numerable triumphs of his clan to other clans (although perhaps interwoven with a few falsehoods of his own 'great deeds' for a bit of additional colour.)
