Yori

“Yori?!”
The dark skydancer looked around her at her name being called. A tundra trotted up to her, “I—I thought you were gone!”
“Do I know you?” Yori asked in cautious confusion, this tundra must be mistaken.
“I’m Darla.” The tundra sat down in front of her, the big fluff on her tail curling around her front feet. The skydancer did recognize that name but associated with this tundra in front of her, all cleaned up and proper hostess. No—it couldn’t be.

“The Darla I know won’t look so pleasantly approachable.”
“Oh, I changed that much?” The tundra was genuinely surprised, “I guess Ethan rubbed off on me then after a couple years here.”
She had settled down? She was so apprehensive to being contained in one place back then.
“Who is Ethan?”
“Oh he is my mate.” Her face brightened up at the mention of that name, “Do you want to meet him? I think he might be in a meeting though...” The tundra stood up and shook off any potential dirt that would have clinged to her fur. She then trotted off among the crowds—a stark contrast among the muted colors of the other dragons in the marketplace. It was as if they were actually parting around her, so following her was not hard at all.

Darla climbed up the embassy steps and glanced behind her, Yori was about ten feet behind her. It had been a very long time since she saw her one friend. They had met in the Auction House since they were mostly sorted together by their characteristics: dark primary and secondary, with bright circuit marking. Both were born under the Stormcatcher with their luminous teal eyes. They had to make due with their circumstances, so they kinda stuck together. Well more like Yori was keeping Darla out of trouble or saving her from getting into trouble. That tundra had a fire inside her that seemed to never be quenched. Even though she had found it quite annoying at the time, that was the one thing Yori found admirable about her fluffy friend.
