Ever since she was a little Guardian, Pompeii has loved battling. When she was old enough to begin her training, Pompeii was quick to learn to basics. Mastering the art was grueling and often put her body under more stress than she could handle. But for Pompeii, it was worth it. Suffering only made her stronger; more resilient. She quickly excelled past even the most experienced fighters in her clan. Before long, there were not many amongst her who could provide her with a challenge. Pompeii was proud at first, but pride slowly turned into annoyance. She grew restless and often fell victim to bordum. Picking fights with other dragons was her way of coping, and she often did not care who she was dealing with. The weaker of the clan began to fear her, and generally attempted to avoid her. The elders of her village deemed this behavior toxic to the health of the clan, and decided to give Pompeii their blessings, sending Pompeii on her Search.

Pompeii quickly found out how harsh the world really was. Fighting her way through the Shifting Expanse was difficult, but it wasn't until she wandered into the Scarred Wasteland that she realized how unprepared she really was. Without armor, she was an easy target for the packs of mirrors that wandered the territory. Her knack for battling was her only strength, and for a while was able to fend off attackers. However, fighting became a daily occurrence. She figured the other dragons were able to sense her strength diminishing; just waiting until she was weak enough to finally fall. A fallen Guardian, after all, would provide an excellent food source worth injury for, especially here. Gathering the last of her strength, she pushed herself towards the edge of the Wasteland, wings aching and body struggling to lift itself. But, a surprise ambush severely injured her. Just as she was about to accept death, a thunderous roar pierced the air. A large Guardian appeared before her. Even outnumbered, the Guardian had no trouble chasing away the attackers. Pompeii was no less at ease. Fearing this dragon was just taking the kill for himself, Pompeii lashed out against him. His armor blocked most of the attack, and she crippled from the recoil. He spoke as her limbs failed her. "You are bleeding. Come with me, or die here.". He flew off a short distance, beckoning her to follow.

It took a couple days of rest to heal from her injuries. During this time, the Guardian who saved her, whom she learned was named Vesuvius, accompanied her most of the time. He inquired her about her journey, often complimenting her determination and strength. Pompeii, at the same time, grew curious of him. This eventually blossomed into mutual respect and later love. These days, Pompeii happily assists Vesuvius in managing the clan. However, she is more aggressive than Vesuvius and prefers to handle problems directly. This occasionally causes issues, especially when dealing with outside clan relations and delicate situations. When Pompeii is not overseeing the clan, her time is spent training the other dragons. Once in a while, Pompeii will challenge Vesuvius to a duel. He remains the only dragon she cannot best, for now...
