Born into the Mirrorlight Promenade, Kaimana always yearned for more. Not just lair size, as it grew at about the same rate she did, but for something else. Something more... forbidden. Kaimana yearned for the sea. Whilst those in the lair of the Desert Butterfly tended to avoid water - for their fragile wings just may be hurt - Kaimana wished for it. Her mother had named her after the ocean and its power. (Kaimana was born to be blind in her right eye, by she learned to hunt like any other dragon, earning her name at the young age of 3.) Even with an ocean-based name, she was already intrigued by the sea. As a hatchling, she would often sneak out to the ocean shores, teaching herself to fish. Although, the elder water dragons, who had affiliated themselves to the Lightweaver, did all the fishing. Kaimana loved her family and home, but often wished to have been born under the Tidelord. His domain was her true calling, but, because of her birthplace, she would never be truly at home there. She always felt rejected among her kin. During the breeding season, all of her nest-mates migrate to the Ashfall Waste. Kaimana, on the other hand, was drawn to the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Due to her feelings of seclusion, Kaimana became a wanderer. She traveled the vast lands, never settling anywhere. On one of her many journeys, Kaimana found another dragon who shared the same burning passion as her. Jupiter. While Kaimana favored the sea, Jupiter favored the storm. So, the two made a compromise. They decided to live together in the Sunbeam ruins, visiting the alternating regions every breeding season. The two bonded closely, deciding never to leave each other's sights.
