Biography

Maatriox - The Shaman Hunter

History: Maatriox was once the matriarch of a powerful clan whose culture prided itself on the hunt. Vicious but wise, the Wildclaw was one of many whose very life centered around kill or be killed. Often taking on opponents much larger than she was, her and her clan were both feared and admired. It wasn't until many generations later that the spawn of their great hunt came to an end. One of the males got sick from a hunting expedition, eventually spreading a virus throughout the clan once their condition deteriorated.

Hardly anyone knew how to cure it, not even Maatriox who wasn't just a skilled hunter but also the clan's shaman healer. Using both magic, blessings and practical herbs, the matriarch tried to chase away the horrible curse. But ti was too late. Almost 80% of the clan perished to the horrible disease, causing Maatriox to make a very tough decision. In order to save her remaining brethren's lives, she ordered her clan to be disbanded and to abandon their homes. Though they argued and pledged their eternal support to the clan, eventually they listened. What was once a lively nest filled with celebration and revelry now had turned silent; filled with the buried corpses of those whose final days of hunting had come to an end.

Present: After abandoning her clan, Maatriox was lost, searching the reefs of the Tidelord for a fresh start. She chanced upon the dragon Marafast, a Broodfather who spoke of his new nest. After learning of her healing magic, the Mirror invited her to his home, to which she gracefully accepted. Presently she has become the nest's healer, using her magic and skill in keeping the residents fit while also taking part in the nest's hunts from time to time, though she is much more cautious and ensures that if anyone falls sick, they are dealt with quickly.
