Biography
"Step right up! Step right up, ladies and gents, to see Kazoo, the Incredible Ember Mouse, leap through a string of flaming rings, and then cross over the Deadly Magma Pit!" Mystic called out toward passers-by, gesturing to his Familiar, who was perched and ready on a box, set in front of some wooden rings lit ablaze. At the end was a small bit of heated charcoal crumbles that resembled "magma." It was quite a spectacle to behold... for the hatchlings.
Mystic had been Emerald's childhood friend, but he grew to go solo down his own path - One of swindling and having fun, while taking great pride in the tricks of his highly-trained companion. Every now and then he'd stop in to say hello and fill up on her cooking, but for the rest of the time he was about, the streets and roadways of the many Dragon Cities being what he called Home. Wherever he sat down his beautiful Pearl, that was where he belonged.
"Thank you very much, young man." He smiled to a young hatchling who had dropped a small clawful of Treasure into his turban. "And now, let the show begin!"
Mystic sent a flare of fire into the air, lighting some small sparklers that danced as Kazoo prepared, then finally leaped out. The group of young ones gasped softly, watching the Mouse fly through one,... two,... three,... all four rings! With a small thump, he landed in the coals, and carefully pranced over them, little feet barely being singed by the fiery rocks.
At the end, Kazoo jumped to a table and pulled a string, small candied beetles falling and landing on the hatchlings, as they all began to cheer and gobble up the sweets. It was another fine day for Mystic. And to make it better, he'd pay Emerald another visit at the end of it... The thought of her casserole was growing once again to be too much for even him to resist!
