Biography
From Nuishe's journal
Halographis was a young, vibrant drake, but I think the Blight has got to him worse than most. It looks like he's actually sick.
He took ill shortly after his arrival at the Hollow. He was an adventurer, a wanderer, going it alone in the world as he looked for... what, exactly? What was he searching for?
Well, it doesn't matter anymore. Like many others before him and after him, he fell under our lair's spell. He's a little different from most of the rest, however: he actually came inside of his own accord, asking for a place to stay! I don't know why anyone who'd seen the mouth of Sporefall Hollow would want to go anywhere near it, and I voiced that concern. I tried to subtly warn him, to tell him that this place was bad news without attracting too much attention, but he waved me off and quipped that he'd seen worse things on his travels.
Sorry, Hal, but it looks like you won't be traveling anymore.
When the hyphae began to appear in his joints, I knew it was over. But none of us -- none of us -- expected him to actually fall ill.
I spotted him one day, about a month after he'd arrived, and found him in a shocking state. He wasn't just crisscrossed with hyphae -- that was expected -- he was developing fungal fruiting bodies at an alarming rate. They weren't the usual mushrooms, either; they looked to be some kind of awful hybrid of puffballs and sac fungi. They grew all over him, on his shoulders, his chest, his wings.
And I think they're hurting him.
He's lethargic. Sluggish. He barely has the strength and presence of mind to walk around the lair. He doesn't eat nearly as many fish as the other Ridgebacks, and he spends most of his time lying in a heap, wheezing and drooling strands of some unknown white substance. I think the hood he wears is meant to mask the fact that his eyes have been replaced by more puffballs.
The rest of the dragons don't know what to do with him. He's clearly suffering, and this appears to confuse my clanmates. I have never seen anyone affected by the Blight in this manner, and apparently, neither has the Blight itself.
