After Erde had become Shade-Touched, he became paranoid and quarrelsome. He searched the land for warriors that could help protect him from non-existent threats. Minerva follows orders without a second though. She gets caught up in the heat of the moment, only regretting her actions later. She does not confide in anyone and bottles up her emotions, releasing them on the battlefield in fury, frustration, and violence.

Minerva trains all the hatchlings and her clan mates how to fight, whether they like it or not. She does not want the responsibility of having to defend weaker clan mates.
