Born from the light's reflection


Starlet does not remember the moment she first came to exist. That being said, who does?

What she does remember is seeing the reflection of lights on the water below her, and feeling the strong urge to join them. Perhaps she truly is a fallen star, or just another Nocturne, born from the depths of the Tangled Wood. It's even possible that she saw the stars reflected on the ocean's surface and decided she wanted to be just like them. Nocturnes are known for their love of mimicry, after all.

Whatever her origin is, Starlet spends little time worrying about trying to figure it out. She has better things to do with her time. Like the rest of the New Moon Caravan, she deals in revealing truth out of the strange and the unknown--mostly through fortune telling. She operates out of a small but ornate wagon, where she tells fortunes to anyone who asks. She even spent some time in the Starwood Strand. She had hoped to learn more about the stars and improve her craft under some of the best astronomers in the land. That was when she came across the Caravan, and decided it felt like home.

Unlike the other seers in the clan, Starlet specializes in one particular type of future sight: celestial readings. She can only practice her craft at night, when the sky is clear and the stars are in full view. This can occasionally make things difficult for her financially, so she supplements her income by crafting jewelry and small adornments. It's not glamorous, but it keeps her fed and warm.
