Tales abound of dragons who come and go mysteriously. Wish Granted is one of those.
And one of those who unfortunately appeared in the wrong place.
King Azfaige, one of the most devout followers of Aven, has a grand palace. The palace's white spires pierce the unbroken spring skies. The ivory walls are surrounded by lush gardens, with glossy leaves watered by hidden springs.
One springtide evening, King Azfaige had a nameless Imperial dragged across the palace floor in shackles.
The pale Imperial's sudden appearance in the labyrinthine-gardens had the King fearing the worst -- that the Imperial was a spy or murderer.
However, Wren believed that the Imperial was just a wanderer. Fearing for his life, young Wren threw himself before the King's mercy. King Azfaige was moved by Wren's plight and agreed to release the Imperial. When asked for his name, he rumbled " Wish Granted."
Wish Granted rarely speaks to anyone besides Wren. His mysterious silence -- and willingness to be Wren's companion -- lead many to believe he is not a dragon at all, but something more.
Perhaps the living embodiment of the wandering spirit itself.
