"Let's take care of the world that takes such good care of us."

Juniper grew up on the border between the Viridian Labyrinth and the Dragonhome. She’d take frequent trips into the woods, ignoring warnings from her elders about hatchlings that wandered too far into the twisting maze of green. As she grew older, she started to hear whispers from the trees. They were offering to transform her into a tree dragon with a trunk for a body and leaves instead of wings. Terrified, she sprinted back to the Dragonhome. Her elders quickly realized that she had been taken by the forest. They sent her as far away as they possibly could, but it was too late. Juniper’s transformation had already begun. Now she has embraced her fate and attempts to take care of Sornieth’s flora as much as she can. She feels a deep connection to nature and the forests which she can’t quite shake. Now she’s the one warning young hatchlings about the dangers of disturbing the spirits of the wilds. They listen, wide-eyed, as a living tree educates them about proper respect for the plants and animals of the Viridian Labyrinth.

Soon after embracing her new appearance and abilities, Juniper met Oren, a careless Coatl who had no respect for the forest. She cursed him with the same magic that had turned her into a servant of nature. Horrified, he begged her to change him back, but she told him she wouldn’t until he had learned his lesson. He trailed after her like a forlorn puppy, unsure what to do about this horrifying situation. The two of them eventually grew to like each other, and after much bickering, they fell in love. Thanks to Juniper, Oren completely understands how important it is to care for the trees and plants of Sornieth. He has decided to permanently remain a tree dragon, devoting his life to caring for the environment and protecting the land that has taken such good care of him for his entire life.
