Szray

The appearance of a normal dragon belies this Wildclaw’s actual identity; he is a creature of the Shade. The dragon that inhabited this body is long gone, any traces of the host’s personality having been absorbed by the corruption centuries ago. Being a creature of the Shade, his body regenerates from damage extremely fast, and he bleeds out his actual form (in the guise of black liquid) in place of blood; as a result, it’s nigh-impossible to fully destroy him.

Violence and anarchy is the crux of this dragon’s motivations. He desires the collapse of dragon society and an end to life on Sornieth, but lacks the time, strength, and energy to bring it about himself. He enjoys fighting and destruction, and delights in showing off his powers in blinding displays of tainted lightning that ripple across his body’s wings. Sz’ray revels in his ability to regenerate, often taunting opponents to damage his body as much as possible. He thinks he’s absolutely great, however he shows grudging respect to any dragon that can beat him in single combat as well as other beings of the Shade. Despite his many years of being disguised as a Wildclaw, Sz’ray still does not have the best grasp on draconic languages, and his speech tends to dissolve into a chorus of echoing hisses when he is particularly frustrated or emotional. When his services are not required, Sz’ray tends to wander around murmuring to himself in incomprehensible languages, or he sleeps.

Much of Sz’ray’s past is unknown. When asked about the bright yellow, glowing runes encircling his form, his face grows dark and he viciously insults a light paladin from hundreds of years ago. Radium and Radon have brought him (somewhat) under control and he obeys them when he feels like it. He’s known to seek out and antagonize ShowDown of SeaHest Clan, and their “play-fights” tend to start fires and badly injure Sz’ray.
