Bahzull was one of the first members to join the clan, as a young imperial with nowhere else to go. As the clan grew, he began training as a warrior, along with Asfaloth and Delicia, in order to protect it. It was during this time that he met Noell, another young imperial that had set out to explore Sornieth and stumbled across the budding Quiet Lights clan. It wasn't long after that they became mates, and were soon waiting for their three perfect eggs to hatch, with all the excitement and trepidation of young new parents.

With mere hours to go before the eggs were set to hatch, Bahzull and Noell were distracted by a commotion on the outskirts of the clan and temporarily left the nesting grounds to investigate. When they returned, Noelle collapsed with a wail, and Bahzull's blood ran cold. Their eggs were gone, and all that remained was the burning stench of serthis.

Weeks of tracking and hunting later, Bahzull, with the aid of Asfaloth and Delicia, found the serthis. They were a rogue clan that wanted an edge above the others, and to do that they had done the unspeakable. Bahzull scanned the camp with frantic eyes and heaving breaths, before focusing on a spike-lined pit in the center of the shoddily pitched tents. From it, he could hear garbled whines and cries, and could smell the occasional waft of blood and decay. As his wildclaw companions took care of the serthis, the stricken father approached the pit, despite a inkling in the back of his mind of what he was going to find.

The first thing he saw was mangled wings, three stunted pairs of them on one body, and three lashing tails. He swallowed the bile that rose in his throat, and gazed down at the fused bodies of what were unmistakably his children, long since dead and revived. As the tears fell down his muzzle, one of the heads turned to look at him with glazed eyes, and cried out with decaying flesh for the father it had never seen with living eyes.

With his own eyes glazing over, Bahzull entered the pit with his children and silenced their aching cries for the first and last time. When they returned to the clan, heads hung low and no missing imperial hatchlings in sight, heartbroken Noell turned away from her mate, and walked away from the gathering crowd. That night, she left the clan, and Bahzull never saw her again.

After it all, he became quiet and withdrawn, threw himself into his training with simpleminded grief and fury. Years and a move into light territories later, Bahzull was still solemn, and stayed away from forming attachments. He remained the primary protector of the clan, but he never forgot, and he never forgave.
