Biography

GUTS
Enforcers' Medic

From the time of his hatching, Guts was a Dangerback with a purpose. All he wanted to do was learn medicine, and whatever he did learn of it, he immediately applied to his nestmates and to the other hatchlings around him, whether they were actually injured or not. This made him something of a young terror, getting to the point where other dragons would hide or make excuses about going to see the clan's actual medic.

Knowing that he would never manage to get along with the other Dangerbacks out of the personality conflicts so typical of their breed, he was sent to clan Semper Victor, in the hopes that he would manage to reign in his obsessive tendencies. There, he was placed under the care of Crest and Medusa, the former of whom gave him a more formal education in medicine and the latter of which cared for him and taught him more manners and tried to help him control his impulse to bandage anything that moved, a job in which she was at least marginally successful.

As he got older and became more adept at what he had learned, he gained a distinct interest in battlefield medicine, and, being a Ridgeback, this meant that Aramis could find an ideal placement for him within the clan: Serving as the official medic of the Enforcers. This placement couldn't have made Guts happier, and he does his job proudly, looking after his charges with the utmost care when they're serving out in the field.

In his spare time, he redirects his safety obsession to the rest of the lair, in a more general sense. He doesn't go around bandaging other dragons, begrudgingly acknowledging that that job goes to Colgate and Crest at their clinic. He instead goes around making sure that the proper signage can be found wherever needed (he's very proud of having marked every place on the roads where it's possible to trip and hurt oneself) and ensuring that people follow the general safety regulations in place around the lair.
"Are you hurt? Injured? Need help? Who needs bandages?"
