Biography
Warpaint Occupation: Aromatherapist Flight: Earth Allegiance: Earth At first glance, Warpaint looks very much like a barbarian ready to cave in a hapless foe’s head: she is lean, long, and gruff with a deep and gravely voice, teeth and talons meticulously kept filed to a razor-sharp edge. She does not have much in the way of patience and seems to be extremely bothered by seemingly minute things, varying from accidental interruptions to grammatical errors and misquoted facts. In her entire life, only her twin sister has proven capable of dancing around her bad side, soothing her with proverbs from the Earthshaker and reminders of the equality of all dragons. Now that the two have went their separate ways, Warpaint is far harder to tame. She doesn’t take too kindly to dragons not of her birth clan trying to remind her of her family’s values. It just seems wrong. And so, for her own sanity and the sanity of others, Warpaint has turned to an old family craft to help calm the savagery deep within her. Hanging up her armor, she traded in her potions and battlestones for herbs and oils, delving into the art of mixing and making incense. Her intention was simple: to ease her tension and help her relax, both by keeping her mind preoccupied with the actual creation and wearing the edge off of her temper with the soothing aromas of home. In time, her corner of the lair became an absolutely enchanting sea of smells and homely decor, stacked high with satchels of flowers, glittering glass vials of myrrh and ambergris, and pillars of wooden bowls brimming with her latest experiments and recipes. Though impatient and blunt, she has found a small circle of friends in an unprecedented clientele that has built around her. Initially, she was slow to accept compensation for what was intended to be for her use only, but in time the glitter of treasure became too much. After all, a dragonness has to be able to restock her ingredients now and again, and there’s only so much she can find without bartering with travelers and beastclan. And maybe, just maybe she is beginning to find the company of others worthwhile. Maybe. |
