LUNATONE'S the fastest dragon in the Flat -- maybe even the fastest dragon in the whole County. She's had to be, in a way, on account of her wings: only one of them is actually big enough to carry her, while the other's smaller and more brittle, with a fused joint that can't pass muster for true flight. Sometimes, in a real hurry, Lunatone will manage a kind of chicken-hop to get ahead faster, but that doesn't look especially dignified so she makes do primarily with her feet.

That wing is a reminder for a life long since gone by. Lunatone was a mirror once, a nimble flyer of the Steppes. Half a cask of fermented moonberries and a poor choice of words (Is that a challenge) made her into a wildclaw, and somewhere through the transformation -- she assumes, having been not entirely lucid through the ordeal, let's say -- her wing failed to follow her all the way through to the other side.

Back then, the deformity was more of a trial, but Lunatone's managed to make it work for her in the interim. She left the Steppes for the flatter terrain of the Wasteland, and brought with her the notion of a more formalised postal service than what the Rifters had back in the day, when they relied primarily on pigeons, prayer, and the whimsy of the universe to get anything delivered anywhere. Crookwing Courier Service is made up of more than just Lunatone these days, but she still makes a point of getting out there and handling a good portion of the County's mail herself. 		spacer

IMPRESSIONS
A strikingly muscular wildclaw specimen: she's left behind the rangy suppleness of her flight-capable fellows in exchange for heavy muscle brought on by hard labour on the go. Her eyes have gone a murky amber after so long in the Wasteland, though she carries an air of the stereotypically breezy, unflappable Plateau-born about her. Her toe-spurs are honed to razor points, however, and you can assume she didn't get that lace of scarring over her knuckles from falling over in church.
RELATIONSHIPS
SERAPHI once tried to bully Lunatone into taking an especially dangerous delivery for next to nothing in payment. No blows were exchanged, exactly, but the altercation still left Lunatone feeling sore -- which is how, to this day, the House Abrasax has to use a go-between in order to get any of their mail in or out of Crookwing Courier Service's hands.
CLINOCHLORE has been a fixture among Rifters for so long that Lunatone about walks by him without seeing him most days. If you ask Lunatone about him -- out of Clino's earshot, anyway -- she'll describe him as a two-faced lying pile of hair who is a pretty good fella, for all that.
BERYL resents Lunatone because she has to rely on her for shipments of exotic ointments and perfumes and whatever else, and being dependent on somebody you can't bully very well is a liability in Beryl's world. Even so, Lunatone isn't too big to join Beryl for a cocktail every now and again, so long as it's after work hours.
