Mathers is the innocent heart of the clan, almost always keeping the energy up throughout the territory. He seems to always act like a hatchling, bouncing around from activity to activity with a smile always on his face. He talks a mile a minute, making it a little hard for Coatls to catch what he's saying, but he makes sure they get the gist of it by almost acting out whatever he's talking about. Energetic, expressive, and friendly, he's often a key part of the clan when it comes to keeping spirits up. Mathers looks up to Hal, who ended up taking him under his wing when he was a hatchling. Hal loves to listen to Mathers' story, while Mathers loves to jabber on about what happened during the day to the clan's leader. Hal doesn't seem to mind. Though Mathers got an odd feeling that Hal already knew about the stories before he told them to the patriarch, but he never seemed to mind hearing them over again if he knew. The two now share an almost father-son sort of vibe. Despite that bond, Mathers is starting to get close to Cthulu. He can match her fierceness with his innocence and energy. If she lashes out, he can avoid it easily. If she acts like she's not listening, he continues with the conversation. Over time, mumbled replies started to become actual interactions between the two. Cthulu warmed up to him, and when no other dragon was around, she actually added a story or two, encouraging Mathers to continue talking about his adventures. He's often seen flying around the clan or talking with others, often letting information spread through the clan faster than usual. Everyone knew about the new trinkets once Mathers came bustling by, jabbering about it. They knew about a new member of a clan before even seeing them. He had all the inside information, and wasn't afraid to share it. Which makes him tolerable to the dragons who may not be as high-energy as he is.  Art by AngelSami! c: |
