Biography
Merrit, the second twin, like the name implies grew up in her fathers footsteps. She was stoic and strong minded. though not as strong as her brother, She made up for it in smarts and quickness. She helped all she could, looking up to Murk and Brea for taking in outsiders and bandits for a second chance of redemption. She chose not to leave on her search just yet to stay and help with her fathers work.
She even did her best to keep her bother in line. He had been exalted, either by choice or by force. Either way, it was Marrik's fault for not staying in line. Marrik was always mean. He was big, so she supposed he had the right to be. Always starting fights with father, stealing her food. Merrit was both glad and grieved by his leave. He may have been mean, but she would always miss her brother. Every time she saw her reflection she would see him staring back at her. She hoped they would meet again one day.
Merrit did everything she could to repay her parents for helping her grow so strong. She helped Brea gather, Helped Murk hunt and guard the caves, and her favorite thing, taking care of the young of the clan. She played with sket, taking turns making the strangest noises. She told Knull a any number of stories a day as she watched her older sister with awe and admiration. The hatchlings that would leave almost as soon as they could walk always asked her for advice before they left on their own search. some would even ask for mementos to remember their eldest sister.
She often dreamed of the day she would depart on her own search. perhaps she would find a nice partner, start a clan of her own, and have a few eggs. She was a great big sister. She imagined she would make an amazing mother. She withheld these dreams from her self. They always made her sad. She couldn't bare the thought of leaving behind her family, but desperately wanted to find something more.
Until one day, a curious and flamboyant Pearlcatcher gave her just that.
