Originally her specialization was only plants and toxins, leading to quite a secluded lifestyle and being dubbed as 'witch' by clansmates. She can heal, she can poison..she can fix you a drink- she's not interested in doing that because she already knows how.
After the only other scientist perished due to his own experiments- he was into mutagen, chimeras and bioengineering- she took his notes and projects.
Which in later years lent a great edge in her new business, DystopiaTrades, as nearly all her hunters were...enhanced in some way. Since her whole thing provides for the clan, everyone simply accepted it.
And as a bonus, she never runs out of fresh specimens.
