Biography

Sanded Pine Plank Collazo, the Emissary

"Structure is as important within social order as it is within the home itself. Who... thought it was a good idea to live in caverns, anyway?"
Fir Logs

Collazo is one of the more reluctant inhabitants of Algor Mortis' underground caverns. He gets quite antsy and irritable when inside of the lair, grumbling about the safety of it all. But he is here for a reason, as his mate Brindley likes to remind him: to make sure he and the other members of the clan are as safe as possible.

His job, even though he's more generally called the woodworker of the clan, requires him to patrol all of the cavernous system on a regular basis, checking for structural problems and improving on what is already there. The clan's home has already improved vastly since he arrived. Jones works with him to make sure the whole place doesn't get filled with icewater or collapses, and that appears to be satisfying enough work for him to keep doing it.

If any possibly structural problems are identified, he will do his best to fix them with wood from the pine forests nearby. If all else fails, they can carve out a new chamber to replace the ones that are no longer functional, though Collazo sees this as a personal failing.

Though he does occasionally indulge in making other wood-related items and far exceeds his apprentice's skill in doing so, the somewhat smaller Vail is often employed to do the more detailed woodwork.
