Lilith Clan leader "Come, my dear children. The Shade will still your breaking heart..."

Lilith is the leader of the Dark Claw Clan.
She is not the strongest, but her manipulative nature and mastery of the Shades power allows her to twist any situation to suit her desires, and maintain a tight grip on her clan through smooth words and subtle magic. She works hard to cultivate her band of Shade touched misfits. After all, they grant her power, and that is all she has.

As a hatchling, Lilith lived on the boundary between Shadow and Light territory, a region of extreme instability between the two opposite flights. Even the terrain itself was in a constant state of flux as the Deities warred between each other for Dominance, flickering back and forth. One day, the region could take no more. During a huge conflict between Shadow and Light, the earth itself split open, a great yawning chasm rending through her whole world, swallowing everything and everyone she loved. With a shudder and a crunch, the rift slammed together again, and Lilith was left alone.

She wandered, starving and helpless, cursing the petty warring that had already cost her everything, cursing the callous deities and their disregard for the suffering of dragonkind. Fatigue and hunger played tricks on her mind. She heard voices, no, one voice.
One voice, again and again, urging her to survive, to fight, to kill.
She obeyed, and was rewarded with her first meal since the deities stole everything away.
As the warm blood ran down her chin, she thanked her mysterious benefactor, opened her heart to its message. Here, at last, was something she could put her faith in.
She opened her heart to the Shade and it surged into her, body and mind.

Lilith felt whole at last. The Shade was her charge, and she would protect it to the death.

She swore to rid the world of the false deities who caused so much pain with their petty squabbles, to let the Shade in, so that everyone could know the comfort of its dark embrace, the power of its touch. She began to build a clan, introducing them to her beloved Shade, making them strong, freeing them from the tyranny of the flights and striving for the day they can challenge the Gods. Her days are spent slaughtering those who oppose or threaten the Shade, and spreading its influence as far as she can.

Lilith's Dark Claw Clan are the mortal enemies of The Cottontail Clan, a peaceful clan in Dragonhome, due to the presence of Sharidhol, a Shade hunter. Sharidhol contains a sliver of the shade himself, a result of Lilith's tampering in an effort to create a new subordinate. A Guardian like Lilith, he was intended to be a son to her, but it was not to be. Instead, the egg was rescued by the dragons of The Conclave and sent to the Cottontail dragons for safekeeping, and he was adopted by their leader, Peony, a Coatl that Lilith hates above all others for stealing the son who should have been hers. Sharidhol fought down his Shade influence, living peacefully with his adoptive clan, but soon discovered that his suppressed taint allowed him to sense the same corruption in others.
He became a Shade hunter, using his abilities to seek out and destroy Shade vessels, dragon and beastclan alike. Lilith knows that Sharidhol poses a great threat to her and her clan, but as the Shade is her charge, she is compelled to protect him, so long as he contains even the smallest amount of its taint.
She longs for the day she can find a way to take his Shade away, so she may kill him.
