Biography
SAF Fury – One of the ‘Quicksilver’ line
Clan Role – Chief Clan Ambassador.
Mate – Mithril. Fury was initially mated to a beautiful natureborn dragon called Estella. This was not a good match, as Estella had not made the transition to the Ashfall Waste well and pined for the Viridian Labyrinth she was born in. Despite this, the two produced some spectacular hatchlings in the year they were together and Morgul was keen to keep the pair together until he could find a better tempered replacement for Fury. This dragon finally arrived in the stunning form of Mithril, a descendant of Morgul himself. Mithril's ultimate grandmother is Morgul's firstborn daughter, Belfalas, and many of her personality traits have bred true in Mithril. She is aggressive, intelligent and in all a perfect match for Fury despite the large age gap between them.
Fury is still getting used to this new, but very welcome, addition to his life and surprised by how much happiness the change of mates has brought him. Not only is Mithril one of the most attractive dragoness’ Fury has ever encountered, she is his equal in intelligence and conversation and Fury has deep, real affection for her, though he refuses to think himself ‘in love’. Mithril has also been trained as an ambassador so the pair could travel together to act as ambassadors to the most important clans in the land, and both dragons truly appreciate how well they work together and how much they enjoy each others company.
Family – Fury is very close with his mother Valarauka, and she is one of two dragons he will always listen to, the other being the ever imposing Morgul. After the announcement that his best friend Dagorlad would become her mate for the foreseeable future, nothing changed between the two other than Fury's resolute promise to beat the living daylights out of Dagorlad if he did anything but treat Valarauka with the highest level of respect and affection, which Dagorlad has done. Fury does not always get on well with his father as Pietro's reserved nature and Fury's emotional, outspoken one mean they routinely do not see eye to eye. Fury has two half siblings in the clan, the healer Banshee through his father and the warrior Khazad through his mother. He not close to either of them, as his training in clan duties and etiquette has given him a strong preference for highly educated and well travelled company, but is fond of his new nephew Agmar, Khazad’s son.
Bio – Fury is one of the golden children of the SaF clan, high ranking, charming and popular. He is strong willed like his mother Valarauka and extremely smart like his father Pietro, but also has the emotional temperament that comes from being a true fire dragon. As a handsome son of a high ranking dragon in the clan, Fury was earmarked to be trained as one of the clan’s ambassadors from an early age and this was reflected in his upbringing. Rather than the combat focused education most dragons in the SaF clan receive, he was taught inter-clan relations, politics, negotiation and manipulation skills and how to charm and converse with others to win them to his side. All this training dovetailed well with his natural outgoing, sociable personality and when he was grown he soon became the chief ambassador of the clan. His combat training was far from neglected, as travelling across the wilds of Sorneith is so frequently dangerous and Morgul would never want his clan to be shamed by an ambassador who was a weak fighter. However his time in the high society of other elemental regions, whose clans all value aggression and fighting much less than in the fire region (with the exception of plague clans of course!) has lead him to value using words to ‘fight’ his corner rather than his physical strength and combat skills.
As the clan’s chief ambassador, Fury frequently must travel far and wide to maintain relations with other important clans and help negotiate trade agreements. The clan’s ruler Morgul is less than impressed with the idea of ambassadors but has been convinced by Pietro that it is a necessary and worthwhile endeavour that does benefit the clan, and Fury has excelled at it. His confidence and likeable personality mean he makes good impressions on others and can easily win them to his side, and his intelligence means he can easily remember all the intricacies of interacting with other elemental clans without offending. He has a reputation as being a ladies dragon, but he avoided fathering any illegitimate clutches outside of his partnership with Estella. Now happily mated with Mithril, he has completely ceased dallying with others, however he is still a notorious charmer and flirt.
Fury is best friends with Dagorlad, Morgul's first son and heir, due to the amount of time both their fathers spend together and thusly the amount of time the two dragons spent together as hatchlings. While young the two were frequently in the same lessons as each other, and Fury’s greatly enjoyed hatching schemes and pranks to liven up their frequently dull days. They both soon became known affectionately as troublemakers, although Dagorlad’s level head always prevented things from getting too out of hand. Now they have grown however Dagorlad’s role in running of the clan and Fury’s frequent trips to other lands mean they have no more time for their pranks and antics, and precious little time to hang out and catch up. Outside of Dagorlad, Fury enjoys the company of other dragons that either travel lots like he does or who appreciate the finer things in life, which he is so frequently surrounded by. He gets on well with Leoni as they often must travel together to negotiate trade agreements and enjoys spending time with Annuminas, a fellow ambassador and Mithril’s mother, her mate Darkshard, a cultured lightborn dragon who studies clan fashions and trends and Cinder, the clan’s Apparel Lore Seeker and archiver.
