Biography
Quote: "Why can't people be kinder?"
Lore snippet by Foxscarf, edited to fit wrote:
One will never find another dragon as loving and willing to give up everything for anyone. Thea has a heart like no other - there's room for everyone of every background and personality. She loves to be with anybody; make them smile, make them laugh. Her parents called her their little angel- she loved her parents dearly, and did all she could to make them proud. However, she knew there was more for her out there, more than just being the light-touched pearlcatcher that stood out in her watery home lair like a pearl in a clam. Thea wanted to make a difference in the world, spread happiness farther than home, and soon enough, she left the nest, hoping her family would understand. She's very sombre when it comes to talking about her family; missing them immensely, she won't speak much about them, because it brings her to tears. However, her mind always, always goes back to them and her happy hatchlinghood - back to their proud smiles and encouragement. She often hopes she's made them proud.
Thea collects pansies, primroses, violets, daisies- if it flowers or has a sweet scent, she wants a pot of it to take home to line her extremely overblooming lair. Thea became the clan florist, selling beautiful boquets to passersby- often just giving them away, but since she gets the flowers by wandering the woodlands, she doesn't mind if she gets nothing in return for them- the smile on the recipient's face is enough.
Thea has custodianship over the Glen Gate, a vast garden of roses near the southern entrance to Oakheart territory. She is always sending away for cuttings and bare-rooted seedlings from far-off clans, and cries every time one of them withers and dies from transplant shock, or gets eaten by aphids, or gets black spot. She often has her nose in a book to read the latest methods for making her roses blossom more beautifully and lush. She loves making bouquets for special ceremonial occasions- often spending weeks training rose boughs into shapes beforehand, just to serve in a few minutes of spectacle.
Unstable Element Infused Subspecies
Quote:
Unstable Infused dragons, are a stronger power source but are also risky to be around. An Infused dragon with Unstable powers is like a walking magic battery that anyone of the same element can borrow from at any time, as long as they're within a few yards of distance.
For example, a dragon who is usually so magically weak that they can hardly breathe the smallest puff of fire, if they're near an Unstable Infused from Fire flight, will find that they can suddenly breathe out massive gusts of flame. An Ice dragon that normally can't summon more than the smallest gust of chilly air will find that in the presence of an Unstable Infused they can call forth a terrifying blizzard.
This is a tricky thing for the Unstable Infused- on the one hand, they're very useful to their companions and clanmembers, but on the other hand they have no way to choose to keep their magic power to themselves. Other dragons around them, if they're of the same Flight/element, can use all their power up whether they like it or not, leaving them with no energy and possibly doing things the Infused dragon doesn't agree with.
Because Unstable Infused dragons are basically radiating a field of magic energy around themselves all the time, they can sometimes have a strange effect on their surroundings. For example, Lightning dragons might cause machinery to misbehave, Shadow dragons might attract spirit beings, and Water dragons might cause nearby sleeping clanmates to have strange dreams.
Roughly 20% of Infused dragons have Unstable powers.
They are slightly more likely to be Wind, Water, Lightning, Shadow, and Arcane elements.

Thea acts as a conduit for other dragons, a source of energy radiating outwards, from her touch or from her smile. She seems to have focused it down, to her own advantage, to be imbued through the flowers she happily hands out to everyone, so each one quite literally brightens the day of the recipient. She is lucky in her choice of clan, as there are very few dragons likely to casually sap her energy without thinking of her wellbeing; of the other Water clansfolk, Leilani and Mermaid keep to themselves and near the ocean or waterways, Agrippa is magically illiterate (and probably socially illiterate as well, she thinks) and Eskame is just a wanderer, a passer-by. Miracle, however, is both a bad influence and a dear friend. They often have afternoon tea parties, reading sappy poetry to one another, and musing over their love lives (with their respective beloveds, not with each other)- Miracle swears that whenever they fall asleep in the sunshine, he dreams of the most exquisite ballads, the more heartrending poems and lyrics for songs that could make a stone weep with joy. He always awakes in a flurry of creative energy, determined to write down all that he saw in his dreams- but Thea always wakes exhausted, drained of energy, and has to spend the next day in bed. It's more than worth it, though, because Miracle dedicates his poems to his 'Muse', which she smiles at because it makes the sillier gossips talk amongst themselves, speculating at who it might be.
