Having seen the other side of where dragons go when they are exalted, Amaer was forever changed by the experience. In stark contrast to his former partner Shellina, he began to take on a much more dire worldview. The truth he was was how the means to an end can often be grueling, understanding that sacrifices can and will have to be made.

While the ends may not often justify the means, there is at times no other way. He made no effort to hide this fact, bringing in a new methodology to ensure the longevity of the Temporal Clan. In order to prevail and grow its numbers, they would have to partake in the somewhat controversial practice of training to exalt. Purchased, trained, exalted, profits. This was the best way, something worth investing in.

Yet Amaer took peace in knowing where exactly it was that these dragons were headed to, beginning to believe he was doing them a favor when he sent them off to the clan's diety. Personal experience told him they would be in good hands, if not suspended in a perpetual limbo of uncertainty.
