Silkflower began life as an average Fae, living in a large clan on the border of the Starwood Strand. One day she ventured too near the Focal Point and disappeared for many days. Her family thought her dead - killed by a freak magical phenomenon.

Yet the Silkflower that returned was not the same one that had been lost. She had been warped into a facsimile of the Arcanist; how this happened she would not say. This unexplained change, which was paired with new mannerisms unlike her previous self, unnerved many of her relations. Their discomfort was not unnoticed by her, and she left to pursue a new desire for research.

She hadn't left with the desire to create a clan, it simply happened through instinct. As a fae, she couldn't stand loneliness. She was interested in dragons with potential for magic, taking in oddities who had drifted from their homes.

Silkflower has dedicated her life to understanding the unstable and unknown magics that pulse through her homeland. She desires understanding, and will obsess over a new question or discovery. As she is often occupied by her research she doesn't take an active role in the clan hierarchy, although she is the undisputed clan leader.

She is generally warm and courteous to others, although her strange obsessions and fascinations with darker, unknown magics unnerve many. There are those that find her practices unsafe, and fear that she will unwittingly follow in the footsteps of the deity she echoes.
