B I O G R A P H Y

One of the two founding members of the clan, Averyn has not stood the test of time nearly as well as most other progenitors have. The "refounding" of the clan by Nora and Eurfyl led to his mate's death and his exile from the clan. Since the move to the Light territories, he has followed the members of the clan who still supported him, slowly gaining enough of a vote to reintroduce him into the clan. However, many other members of the clan - those who resented the failures his inexperienced leadership led to - had one condition to his return: that he would serve the clan as they felt they had served him.

And so began his service.

For months, he has been taken daily to the Coliseum, where he will spend hours, sometimes even days, struggling to stay alive. His 'caretakers', Daemon and Bloodlust, have both tried their best to keep him alive, having both been vocal supporters of his reign as near-founding members of the clan. But he doesn't resent those who put him there, nor does he see this as fitting penance. He's more focused on staying alive.

He wears the scraps of cloth and pelt that he has scavenged from the many battles he has fought, and although most of the clan treats him with the revulsion they treat Pestilence with, he remains devoted to proving his worth. Hopefully then he'll finally be safe again.

As of 9/15/17, he has served his time, and has been granted a permanent leave from his duties. He now spends the majority of his time with his daughter in her forge, trying to prove to her and the rest of the clan his value and contribution to the clan. He has already fashioned her a crude replica of the iron wing plating she had wanted as a child during the previous Flameforger's Festival.
