Azura

Azura found herself adrift in the torrent of her despair after the death of her mate, Thorn. A revered matriarch amongst her clan in the Starfall Isles, she and her brood had lived there happily for many years.That was not to last, however, as the fates had different things in mind for her.

Born serving the arcane, her home clan was well tied into the land's magicks and their workings. However unrest grew amongst the younger council members when Azura's began to demonstrate a greater grasp at commanding such power. A failed assassination attempt that was carried out by her own children (who will forever remain unnamed) cost the life of her loving mate, Thorn.

So she fled. She fled far, not knowing and not caring where the winds would lead her. For all her power, she couldn't save the one she loved the most - betrayed, by her own precious little children. A traveling Wind mage, Eirys, came upon her in her travels through the Zephyr Steppes. Eirys brought her into the Steppes, to Whim, the leader of a rogue group under the care of the Windsinger. Heartbroken for Azura, he tried to rebuild what she had lost, giving her a clan and family again. Azura rose strong again, happily serving the Windsinger with her new mate, Whim.

Together they founded Eluska, draconian for Sky. The name serves as a reminder to all dragons; they are forever free, and can always count on the winds to find home.
