Biography

Banshee
Polyromantic Demisexual
"Tell me, what is left for the lost?"
Banshee the Dead. Banshee the Whisper. Banshee the Hollow. These are the names that plague the elderly Guardian's mind, whether awake or sleeping to escape the nightmares of her mind, only to encounter them again at night. They might as well call her Banshee the Lost, named for the piercing cry she released when she was hatched from an egg, apparently splitting the ears of her caretaker, a very tiny Fae named Grimoire. And so, one might say she's been causing trouble since the day she was hatched, which is more or less accurate.

But Banshee is the dead-hearted, hollow-boned drifter without a Charge. It's not that she doesn't want one--it's that she lost hers long ago. Long ago, when she wandered the wastes of the Scarred Wasteland alone, without the reluctant company of a much younger Guardian, Screech, who took it upon themselves to keep her from harm. Confusing, that one, that is her opinion of Screech, should one ask. However, not much happens to Banshee these days, a former thief and now, an on-the-run murderer for killing the one that took her Charge from her. Apparently, that dragon had been a prominent member of some Clan, which...unfortunately, threw her out of obscurity. It is perhaps because of this that she does not wish for company, for Screech to stay by her--she doesn't want them to get involved because it is not their fight, nor their place.

It was after the death of her Charge that she was rendered near speechless--it is a rarity these days to hear Banshee so much as shriek that renowned cry to the world. Instead, she prefers communicating in a complex system of body language that Screech is learning to decipher, or a series of clicks and smoke billows that more or less indicate her well-being and what she wants to have happen. That is, if she can be roused to even do that.

So again, she asks, "What is left for the lost and the dead?"
