Her full name may be "Melancholy", but Mel is nowhere near that definition. One of the oldest dragons in the clan and certainly the most loving, she considers it her duty to take care of everyone else and guard the Nesting Grounds.
She dotes on all dragons as if they were from her clutch, and dotes on her actual hatchlings even more. Mel also has mastery over some healing arts, and often employs it to patch up rowdy hatchlings or assist the actual medic.
Mel actually has a really gorgeous voice.
