"Yay, new wings! I bet they will help me fly!"
Originally from the illuminated realms of the Lightweaver, Kaya should perhaps be more interested in reading scrolls and gathering information.
In reality, she is a lot more active, having run around with the Matriarch and her mate in the Plaguelands since she was a hatchling.
She is happy, optimistic and hard to bring down, but has one regret.
Due to an accident that clipped one wing and left the other weak, she is unable to fly on her own.
On days with strong wings she blesses the Windsinger for his encouragement and takes to any high place in the area, where she carefully waits for a strong gust, before jumping of and gliding through the air, swooping through updrafts until her wing can no longer keep her weight, or there is no winds to carry her higher.
For the same reason, she has searched out her familiars amongst the bees, as she has heard they are not able to fly either, but are unaware and does so anyway. She admires that trait, and she keeps on trying to lift off on her own with the same idea in mind.
