Scintillo

Scintillo will grow into a useful asset, completely unaware of his true origins. Unless Toxin reveals this heritage, both Scintillo and Umbrus will believe quite fervently that they belong to Chaw's clan, and will follow her every order as any good dragon would be expected to do. Though he is a bit out of place, in the area of his appearance, with his shimmering and glittering scales and wings, he will never question his oddity, nor will Chaw or Durgan make a spectacle of it, and instead attempt to use it to best advantage, giving Scintillo a unique position in the clan. Toxin, of course, dotes over him, and will until Scintillo comes of age, and even then, Toxin would go to any lengths to protect that last surviving siblings he can claim to his bloodline.

Chaw has trusted Scintillo to accompany her and the others on hunting trips, and she has brought a newcomer: Starling, the Mirror breed who claims to be Toxin's sister. Though Scintillo has his doubts, it is not his place to question. Instead, he follows Chaw beside Starling, and as long as she behaves herself, Scintillo will have no qualms with her.

Now placed at his den mother's side, Scintillo watches the statue with fascination and suspicion combined. Until Chaw can bend it completely to her will, Scintillo will ensure never to turn his back to it, especially within Chaw's presence, and even then, Scintillo will regard the unnatural construct with contempt. As for the newcomer that created the thing, Scintillo will treat her the same as her creation. As far as he is concerned, never will his dearest mother be threatened so long as he remains beside her. Let threats to the clan tremble before the glittering might that is his claws and his fangs and his flames!

Scintillo sees his strength grow, especially now with his new companion from a distant land at his side. Through the excursions that Chaw has sent him and others on, he has earned and treasured several pieces of armor and weaponry, which he trains with nearly religiously to better protect his 'mother.' Still, he is clueless, and still he single-minededly eats from Chaw's outstretched claw. He is happy to serve, and so long as Chaw still has a use for him, he shall forever more.
