"Eyes forward, shoulders down, and always, always stay on guard, no matter what." Amaria is a very calm and collected dragon. She focuses on the task at hand, is very matter-of-fact, and listens well to others. Her sharp eyes are quick to pick out quirks and behaviours, making her not only a skilled night watchman, but also a living lie detector of sorts. Amaria cares a lot for appearances, making sure she appears presentable and choosing her words carefully. It's a lot of pressure to be so careful, especially when her jobs of watching and perfecting the control of her birth element as a Mage come into play as well. Sometimes she fears that she will crumble under pressure and reveal an ugly side to herself. Amaria was one of four dragons from an allied clan in Lightning to come to this clan. As an ambassador from Lightning, as well as the selected Mage, she take her roles very seriously in order to disappoint neither her birth clan, nor her home clan. She is careful to teach her children about the importance of representing their birth clan and all it stands for. Perhaps this continued devotion to her home flight is why she selected Impulse as a mate. Impulse was born from the same clan as Amaria, though his demeanour is very different from hers. Though Amaria hates to speak of personal relationships, she never denies that she finds Impulse's liveliness refreshing and attractive. Amaria tries to keep relationships more professional than anything, but she has made a few friends, mostly in the realm of other Mages such as Orpheus, Alita, Orochi, and Lirael. Around these friends, Amaria is less transfixed on keeping up appearances, though she still is loathe to let down her guard. |
