Her shade is carefully balanced by the Light in her body. The two forces push and pull on her emotions, making her moods as changeable as the moments that go by. Over the years she's gained a further mastery over her feelings, but it continues to be a struggle. Airmid always strives to do her work as a go-between for shade-touched dragons and those fearful of them, going out on expeditions with the explorers and merchants of the clan.

She's been staying on clan grounds more frequently now that she has an apprentice to teach. Airmid truly feels that she learns as much as she teaches from Fantamostro; their whimsical approach to life and humor has kept Airmid on her feet as they go about their Luminary duties, and has made her view life with a little more joy than before. She believes Fantamostro will make an excellent Shade-touched liaison.
