Biography

She left her birth clan at an unusually young age, wandering far and wide in search of her charge. Eventually her Search brought her to the Willowisp Grove, where she was ambushed by a swarm of Serthis. In the ensuing battle she was gravely injured, and almost perished, but was saved by a passing Ridgeback and her valiant boarder patrol.

Zhirayr stayed with the group's clan while she recovered from her injuries, and then for some time after. But she had still not found her charge, and the want of it was making her restless. Still, she took her time. She prepared dutifully for her inevitable departure, gathering treasure, food and other commodities that would aid her in her quest.

When it came time for her to leave at last, the clan's soothsayer came forward with a small prophecy for her: "Travel to where the trees tremble above you and air echos with the shrieks and cries of nocturnal beasts. There in that labyrinth shall you find what you seek."
