Story
The purple skydancer glares. Her tone and expression is cynical but she tells her story, somehow.
She never knew a true family. Stolen from her home flight
by a shade-worshiping shadow clan as an egg, the
dragon only knew one thing, obey. The skydancer was
told from hatching to serve her shade masters and one day she'd
be rewarded with power beyond her belief.
Usually, that meant capturing and killing dragons
who dared trespass on the territory and so she gained her name-
Viper. She was practically brainwashed with no
personality or thoughts of her own she was almost the
perfect servant, almost. The skydancer had developed
a taste for bloodshed and violence and was eager to dispatch
any dragon who said the wrong word. That was good for the clan leader
of course, as they needed to kindle that flame for the future. Her aggressive
nature only grew and grew as she aged. Then came the day when it was time
for her to become shade touched.
As soon as the dark doors shut Viper heard it.
A low whispering sound, beckoning her to come closer. As if in a trance. It
spoke in tongues she didn't understand but knew well. Closer and closer the skydancer.
Before she was engulfed. Dark tendrils surrounded her and sunk into her scales.
Viper wanted to scream but she couldn't, she was choking from the inside out.
Dark spots appeared on her pelt and her teeth turned needle sharp. Poison dripped from her open maw as she let loose a guttural roar.
Viper crashed through the door to the temple and slaughtered the very dragons that subjected her to this sickness. She continued to rampage for the next day or so before the initial shock of being shade touched wore off. From there she began to regain control of herself. Finding herself wandering aimlessly. The skydancer had major problems fitting into the current dragon society as she'd been raised to hate them and worship the shade.
She found her place in the clan of misfits soon enough. Stormgazer
reluctantly let in the shade touched skydancer in.
Viper is now one of the strongest warriors in the clan and will defend it to no end.

She's loyal to no end and will fight tooth and claw for her belief.
Most conversations with her end with a snide remark
or a cold glare but she's learned to control the more 'shady' side of her.
Deep within she's terrified of herself and her past and thinks is best
to lock herself with invisible chains. She has a warmer side but shows it to few.
