-Bio-
Yang came from the Shifting Expanse, looking for a new life. Her role in her previous Clan felt more desolate than the canyon she had lived in, and in search of fulfillment the Fae set out on her own; specifically, toward the plains of the Sunbeam Ruins. She had no plans, but plenty of belongings; why didn't she ever empty out her closet?
She was a suspect of hoarding, that was for sure, and you can be certain it wasn't of treasure. The obsidian Fae wasn't running from the grimy job of maintaining machines, but rather the empty life of a pampered dragon.

It started back when her Clan was nothing more than a ragtag of workers tightening nuts and straightening bolts on a Lightning Farm; blue-collar dragons, you could say. They advanced as Lightning Dragons only because of a particular Skydancer who arrived one day, bringing with him all manner of exotic silks and textiles. The nomadic trader was thinking of settling down, as the grains of sand and plates of rock were wearing down his feet, making him weary of traveling any longer. The Clan had welcomed him with open arms, curious about the goods he brought with him. Interested in good bargains, the Skydancer sold off the cloth for a pretty penny, but one bolt of satin in particular he held to himself. " So precious, not even the prettiest dragon can take it from me!" He had claimed.
The Clan took it up as a challenge, keen on the high-quality fabric. Many youngsters were sent to the Clan's allies, in search of a dragon that might woo the Skydancer into giving up the satin. It took a while before the Skydancer had denied every suitor, too complacent to consider anything, especially since he was swimming in his own pile of treasure. The Clan didn't give up hope though; a new oracle was discovered in the Sea of a Thousand Currents. According to her tradition, she had to travel abroad before finding someone to settle with, and with any luck she would complete the trader's life.

The Clan was successful in introducing the two, and the oracle Skydancer became the one dragon that could cause the nomad to part with the bolt of satin. Not that it mattered though; he still slept on a bed of treasure, and had his own eggs hatch there. So even when he and his mate left and traveled to the Sunbeam Ruins, Yang's own parents tended to the treasure nest.
As a third-generation wealthy dragon though, she grew up in a very spoiled way. She could have anything and everything, because father could pay for it and mother could take care of it, and her silbings weren't important. She could have picky tastes in everything from clothing to food to the comfort of her lair, and as long as she gave generous tips no one would care. That is, until someone did care.

Yin. A white Spiral who flew in from the Windswept Plateau. He was a feather collector, and would travel day and night in search of exotic feathers. While he wasn't known as "Yin" before, when he met the snobby Fae he felt the need to combat her negative tendencies, and changed his own name to reflect this. So even though he didn't intend to stay long in the Shifting Expanse, he found himself stuck in a perpetual loop of conflict, trying to right the mind of a dragon whom he had just met. No one really understood his reason for doing this, until Yang finally broke down in front of him, and he switched from abrasive to comforting on a dime.
Ah, that's why he did it. An attempt to right the dragon he was drawn to into something he could tolerate.

Yin stuck around for just a little while longer to help Yang fix her broken life, but still only left in the end. Inevitable, considering he was a Wind dragon, but it wasn't anticipated for him to go to the Lightweaver. Her life in tatters again due to him leaving, Yang tried to find a way to remedy the hole in her heart, but only faced a blunt conclusion; everyone in her family went to the Lightweaver. Her grandparents did, now her love did... what about her? She was a Lightning Dragon, sure, but would going to the Sunbeam Ruins be wise? Light and Lightning didn't really go well together... Besides, how would she convince them to let her in? All she could do was spend treasure and stitch stuff together...
Wait...

Weaving. She could weave. She could take ribbons, yarn and thread and make tapestries, envisioned stories! Illuminated artwork existed in the Lightweaver's realm; surely she could find a living there?
With nothing holding her to the Lightning Farm, Yang packed up her plethora of fabric belongings (and a healthy amount of inherited wealth) and headed in the same direction so many others in her lineage had: northeast. While she had little hope of seeing Yin again, she had a feeling of determination about traveling to the sun-bathed plains. This determination kept her going, until she came across Clan Yulon.

Tired. All she felt was tired. Tired of dragging six different bags filled with fifteen different things, and especially tired of that annoying pouch full of treasure; gold was heavy! And her exhaustion kept her snippy attitude in check; without it, Kelsus may have never let her in.
Speaking of which, after plenty of rest and a helping of soup, Yang decided to visit the Clan leader; she was smart enough to know that in a few days time she would already exhaust her wealth and be reduced back to the working class, and the thought of being that lowly made her cringe. Showing off her weaving skills to Kelsus should surely keep her raised up for a little while, right?
Kelsus... wasn't too impressed. She was a battle commander; what use were a bunch of pretty tapestries to her? Granite though saw something else.
Stories!
" Allow her to stay!" He implored the skeptical Pearlcatcher. " With my words and her weaving, we could paint tales of victory throughout the library!"

It was enough to convince Kelsus to give Yang just enough time to make herself useful, and the Fae seized the chance quickly. At first fear drove her to dye strands of reeds and tie them into baskets, but eventually she found that she enjoyed the art. Once a pastime in her life of luxury, it now became her life (no thanks to her extravagant purchasing habits), and Yang felt... what she was hoping for.
Fulfilled.
