Unlike other dragons, Shortcircuit wasn't born to two parent dragons, but instead he was created. Outer shell crafted from carefully claw-made materials, within he is composed of hundreds of wires and circuitboards, with a sentient AI powering him. Made by the brilliant Inventor/Scientist Ariste, occasionally with some help from her mate Tony, and with almost a year of work, Circuit was booted up... and almost immediately crashed again.

But it was an easy fix, and soon enough he was properly running - and properly named in irony to the first thing, short circuit - able to fly freely, walk around and chat on his own, learning words from the other dragons at lightning speed, yet being specifically programmed so that he wasn't too impressionable, to immediately be turned into a minion of Lucille's that didn't know any better. Developing a sunny, friendly disposition, he quickly learned what he should and shouldn't do, and just who he shouldn't cross. His younger 'brother' for example, he knows well to stay out of his way. Now, he just wanders the Bellator territories, not straying far, but also mostly under Lucille's radar, as he wasn't suspected by her.

After Ariste and Tony escaped from the Clan, ShortCircuit was left alone with his fellow cyberdragons. With the spot of head cyberneticist vacated, he works alongside Bob as a scientist, most of their work focused on developing a cure for the shade.
