Biography

19979992_350.png Sylam
Scout, Scribe, Healer-in-Training
Gender: Male
Steam Gyre

"I take it that this means that you're in need of a guide?"
Sylam came to the clan recently, traveling as a young dragon for a while, seeking a clan to call home. He doesn't talk much about his previous clan, just saying that he eventually left due to unnecessary drama.

Whatever his past, and reasons for leaving it behind, since coming to join the clan, Sylam has proven invaluable. He's adept at navigating even unfamiliar terrain, and often accompanies gathering or battle parties on their excursions beyond the Sunbeam Ruins. His sharp eyes and swift flight make him a skilled scout, and he's been training his strength and magic to be of use as a healer for the clan.

Sylam is kindhearted, and loyal to those who have earned his trust. He's not a pushover, however, and will stand for his convictions. He gets along well with the rest of the clan, and its clear he's found a place to call home.

The Pearlcatcher also has hit it off well with the Guardian, Marett, who now accompanies him often on his excursions. The two get along quite well, and consider themselves good friends. There was a rather awkward patch to their relationship, as Marett discovered that Sylam was his charge, but the two have since then worked things out, and stand on even ground.

On his downtime, Sylam quite enjoys sunning himself in the large patches of light found scattered around the Light Flight's domain. He's coerced Marett to join him more often than not. And while the Guardian does tend to overheat if out in the sun too long, with his darker scales, Marett enjoys this time to relax more than he'll admit...

Sylam also enjoys reading from the scroll fragments and scraps found through Gathering and battles, soaking in all the forgotten lore from clans long gone. He hopes to write down the clan's stories as well, preserving those who have become so precious to the Pearlcatcher.
