Anahera tried to listen to the problems of anyone who came to her, but when it was late and she was alone she missed her mate, Lightfoot, terribly.
She knew what it meant to him to serve the Flamecaller.

Flame, their son, had stayed with her instead of following his father and siblings. Now she had a grandson that was staying with The Awaken too.

She tried to mate with another but she never felt a connection.

Snow, her wolf, and Gloom, a pix, stayed with her always, but it wasn't the companionship that would comfort her in the long nights.
Was she destined to be alone?

Mya had found her charge after a long search. It was a weird kind of animal, but she kept it so close to her that you could barely see it. To Anaheras' surprise Mya gave one of these animals to her! As she watched it weave between her front paws Anahera smiled at it. I shall call you Light Paws. Anahera thanked Mya for the animal and then asked her what it was. Mya said, "It's called a cat."
